How do I become a member of WUSF?
You can become a member of WUSF at any time by calling the WUSF Member Services office at 800-741-9090 or visiting us online at You can also join WUSF during our Membership Campaigns.

When is the next Membership Campaign? Our next membership campaign will be for Classical WSMR, and the dates are TBD.

How can I pay for my membership?
WUSF accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express credit/debit cards. We can also send you a pledge notice in the mail if you would rather pay by check or money order.

How much should I give as my membership contribution?
Your membership starts with a contribution to WUSF in an amount that works for you. You decide how much you would like to give and select the payment method that is best for you. All WUSF members will receive monthly communication about programming and station activities.

Is my annual membership gift tax deductible?
Yes, your gift to WUSF is tax deductible less the fair market value of any thank you gift items you may receive. Please consult with your tax accountant for specific details on tax deductibility. Each January you will receive a tax receipt from WUSF for your contributions made the previous calendar year.

Is it possible to make a gift to WUSF without getting any additional mail throughout the year?
Yes. You decide exactly what you want to receive from WUSF. You may request to be eliminated from additional gift mailings or telemarketing calls. You will, however, receive an annual membership renewal notice prior to your membership anniversary date unless you participate in our Sustainer Program, which renews your membership automatically.

How does a Sustaining Membership work?
Sustaining Members make a commitment to the station to continue their membership support beyond a one-year timeframe. Sustaining members give a minimum of $5.00 per month and use either Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) from their checking or savings account or a monthly transaction to a credit or debit card. I work for a Matching Gift company. What does WUSF need to process a Matching Gift?
Hundreds of companies across the country match gifts made by their employees and retirees. Some companies (or their foundations) will match an employee gift up to a 3-to-1 ratio. Forms are available from the Human Resources or Personnel Department of your company. You can send WUSF the form with your gift or anytime thereafter within the calendar year. Search the database to see if your company matches contributions to public broadcasting.

I just got a renewal notice when I renewed my membership only a few months ago. Why?
Timing is everything in today's computer age. Our computer system saw that your most recent payment was outside the normal time period for a renewal. When this happens, the payment is recognized as an "additional gift." A quick call to our Member Services staff at 800-741-9090 will have your membership record updated to reflect your gift as your renewal contribution.

Does WUSF sell my name and address?
WUSF places high priority on protecting your privacy. When you join WUSF as a member, we collect your personal information for specific, limited purposes. The information you provide enables us to better serve your needs including more personalized services, sending you email alerts, responding to your requests, and tracking activity on our website to help determine which features are most desirable to our members. WUSF's commitment to personal privacy is demonstrated by our Privacy Policy, which prohibits disclosure of personal information to a third party organization. We do not sell or trade the personal information of our members. The personal information you provide is solely for use by WUSF.
