The Sarasota Concert Association's free Music Matinees series continues its 2017-2018 season with State College of Florida Chamber Choir, conducted by Melodie Dickerson, Wednesday, March 28, noon, in the Grand Foyer at the Van Wezel Performing Art Hall in Sarasota. The ensemble is known for performing Renaissance madrigals, cutting-edge choral works, contemporary jazz tunes and traditional choral literature. This concert’s program includes a 13th-century chant, a 15th-century Spanish folk song, and songs by Jean Berger, Erik Esenvalds, Gyorgy Orban and more. The concert is free and open to the public.
