Pat Blocher: Girl in the Dark
Gallery 221 @HCC is pleased to announce the opening of Pat Blocher: Girl in the Dark, May 21 – July 12, 2018.
Pat Blocher is a photo-based artist from Oceanside, CA that works across digital and analog processes. Their exhibition in Gallery 3 @HCC engages with the gallery space through a mix of photographs and installation. In this exhibition, Blocher will examine the relationship between spatial shifts and conceptual paradigms, such as shifting perspectives of gender. Blocher is a current MFA candidate at the University of South Florida.
An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 24 from 5:00-7:30pm, with a panel discussion with artist Scott Owen Pierce to begin at 6:00pm. The event will take place on both the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Learning Resources Center / Library building (DLRC), HCC Dale Mabry Campus. Food, libations, and music will be provided for free, courtesy of the gallery.
The event is free and open to the public; parking is also free on campus in any open lot.
Gallery 3 @HCC is located on the third floor of the Library/Learning Resources Center Building (DLRC) on the HCC Dale Mabry Campus.
