The FABulous Arts Boutique is back, March 1, 2 and 3, at Art Center Sarasota, 707 N. Tamiami Trail, in Sarasota. The event, now in its sixteenth year, features exceptional works in ceramics, decorative fiber, jewelry, wearable art, mixed-media and shell art by over 70 artists representing six area fine art and craft guilds. Attendees can expect to see more of the innovative and unique designs that blend traditional art and craft techniques with contemporary twists.  The six guilds represented in the show are the Manasota Weavers Guild; Florida West Coast Bead Society; Sarasota Shell Club Artisans Division; Surface Design Society of Sarasota; Southwest Art Yarn Guild; and Venetian Society of Basket weavers. Admission is free.  Hours are 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., Thursday, March 1, Friday, March 2, and Saturday March 3. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. for early buying, champagne and light hors d’oeuvres.  Suggested donation for the reception is $10.  For more information about the FABulous Arts Boutique, visit www.fabsarasota.weebly.com.
