Tillman Scholar

After twelve years of service with the U.S. Army, including two deployments to Iraq, Jeffrey Sargent began suffering post-traumatic stress disorder. Sargent has not only learned to manage his PTSD, he’s helping other student veterans at the University of South Florida deal with it as well. Now the Bronze Star Medal recipient has been named a 2016 Tillman Military Scholar, one of only 60 student veterans and military spouses to receive the award. We’ll introduce you to Jeffrey Sargent on University Beat on WUSF Public Media.
