Research Vessel

A crowd that included the USF Herd of Thunder marching band recently welcomed the R/V W.T. Hogarth on its maiden voyage to its new homeport in St. Petersburg.
Research Vessel

A new, state-of-the-art research vessel is now docked at its home base in St. Petersburg. The W.T. Hogarth is a 78-foot ship that will be used by researchers from the USF College of Marine Science and almost thirty other state universities and other research institutes that make up the Florida Institute of Oceanography. We climb aboard the Hogarth and talk with the crew and the man the ship is named after on University Beat on WUSF Public Media.
