Closing Reception: Foundations, Celebrating HCC's 50th Anniversary
Gallery221@HCC invites the community to celebrate Hillsborough Community College’s 50th Anniversary by attending the closing reception for the visual arts exhibition Foundations on Thursday, November 15 from 5-8PM.
The closing reception will include a panel discussion with respected art professionals who have contributed to the history and culture of Gallery221@HCC. Panelists include:
R. Lynn Whitelaw, founding Director and Curator of the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art
Katherine Gibson, Independent Curator and Regional Art Advisor/ Founder of Arthouse3
Jose Gelats, Museum Coordinator at the Henry B. Plant Museum
The panel will take place during the closing reception, beginning at 6PM in Gallery221@HCC.
About the exhibition: In celebration of HCC’s 50th Anniversary, Gallery 221@HCC Dale Mabry Campus and the HCC Ybor City Campus Art Gallery proudly host a collaborative exhibition of visual art. The exhibition, titled Foundations: An Art Exhibition Celebrating HCC’s 50th Anniversary, features a selection of work from current faculty and staff juried by Josette Urso, alongside objects from the Permanent Art Collections of the Dale Mabry and Ybor City campuses, curated by Gallery Directors Amanda Poss and Carolyn Kossar.
The multi-phase exhibition is on view at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus from October 15 – November 21. The Ybor City Campus Foundations exhibition is on view from November 1 – November 30.
