Then & Now 11/7: Instruments on Exhibition
On this date in 1924, the American premiere of Ravel’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” was given by the Boston Symphony, with Serge Koussevitzky conducting.
This weekend, the Florida Orchestra will have some instruments on exhibition at their next Fall Family Program called “The Science of Sound.” Be sure to arrive early for the Instrument Petting Zoo! Performances are this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 and 3:15 at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. Admission is pay what you can at the door, or call the ticket center to guarantee your seats.
